About
Kamonohashi Project
Kamonohashi Project (Kamo), founded in 2002, is a Non-Profit Organization headquartered in Japan. It started with the aim to address the issue of child trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation of children in Cambodia. Since 2012, Kamo has been working to deter human trafficking through systems strengthening and leadership growth in India. Since 2019, we have been addressing the issue of child abuse in Japan.
Our work in India
Kamo is a strategic partner dedicated to strengthening the Anti-Human Trafficking Ecosystem by connecting its key stakeholders, funding transformative programmes, empowering survivors, and fostering an environment of shared learning. Our efforts focus on child welfare, human rights, and the empowerment of marginalized communities. We strive to create a world without human trafficking, where every child can grow up happy, healthy, and free.
Our work in Japan
In 2019, Kamo launched a programme in Japan to prevent child abuse and support the estoration and rehabilitation of survivors. In 2024, we opened a "space" to connect with and support pregnant and postpartum women facing isolation and difficulties. Together with local supporters, we are working to ensure that they can give birth, raise their children, and live in the community with peace of mind.
We will continue to create a society where nobody would suffer from abuse and violence, both in India and in Japan.
